We stayed in New York three times, this was the best location. Speedy check in. Very friendly staff. No extra charges for safe deposit box. The only problem was a hard bed, but when exhausted from all the sightseeing, I managed to sleep. Price was very good for location and the time of year. Would definitely stay here again.

On arrival at our room I was initially disappointed at its size. Although clean, it was small for 2 adults and 1 teenager. However this is New York and all you need is a clean bed after a long day sightseeing. Service at hotel good with friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant good quality with (as usual) large portions. Would definitely return to this hotel as would rather save cash to pay for sightseeing.
Hotel is good value for money - excellent location for exploring the city.

I booked this accommodation online. Arrived at the hotel during late afternoon and received a easy and quick check in. I was in room 1130, this was a fair sized room, but clean. What else do you need when you are out all day and night? Although my room view was of a brick wall!! The location of the hotel cannot be faulted; it is right on Broadway and just off Times Sq! Within 30 secs and you are in the middle of Times Square!

The Edison Hotel is a great location for New Years Eve. My young kids felt comfortable. The room was alternately a bit stuffy/hot and chilly, the furnishings a bit tired, but everything was clean and adequate for our needs. The best thing about the hotel was the excellent staff who graciously admitted us to our room at 7:00 am after we had caught the red-eye from the West Coast. We were grateful to get into our room early so we could nap and clean up. The hotel is historic and a decent value. The mural paintings in the lobby are of substantial historical significance and you should take the time to study them.
