At The MOMA, their 1960-1969 collection features the innovative art of the 1960s. On October 7th, The Guggenheim debuts their latest exhibition, focusing on Agnes Martin. Starting October 28th, The Whitney looks at the history of cinematic art in Dreamlands.

Summerstage brings diverse, exciting music to Central Park. It's the largest free performing arts festival in the city. Though summer's ending, the concerts keep throughout September and October. The Beach Boys play the evening of September 14th, Band of Horses and White Denim play on September 22nd, and Janelle Monae wraps up the series on September 29th.

Global Citizen Festival combines music's largest acts with global activism. Tickets are free, as long as you help make an impact by volunteering, petitioning your local congressman, and other acts to help improve the world. This year's festival includes Metallica, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer, and other guests.

Hockey and Football Season
September 2016 to April 2017
With two professional hockey and football teams, along with streets and avenues of sports bars, New York is one of the best sports cities in the country. Come to the iconic Madison Square Garden to watch The New York Rangers when their season begins in October. The New York Islanders have a new home, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, which is just a quick ride from the Times Square subway station. Meanwhile, MetLife Stadium hosts The Giants and The Jets. If you're not a New York sports fan, there are plenty of bars geared toward teams from both coasts and inbetween.
