Get Around New York City

It may seem like a complicated place, but New York City is quite easy to navigate. The city sits on an orderly grid of streets (east-to-west) and avenues (north-to-south). The grid is bisected by Broadway, which runs through Times Square, Columbus Circle, Union Square, Madison Square Park, and other highlights. The best way to explore New York City is by foot, with a paper map or smartphone as your guide. The city is also navigable via the Citi Bike bicycle-sharing system, taxi cabs, Uber, and regular subway or bus service.
