Vintage Glam & Authentic Charm Meet at Hotel Edison

Imbued with Jazz Age charm and sophistication, the Hotel Edison was among the first art deco hotels in New York City's Theater District. Located just steps from Broadway, the hotel has offered a perfect location to guests of the city for over eight decades.

A Storied Past & Bright Presence in Times Square

Hotel Edison has been setting trends in New York City's Theater District for decades, dating to its opening day in 1931 when Thomas Edison, our innovative namesake, turned on the marquee lights of the hotel himself. Since that day, the art deco architecture of the Hotel Edison made its way into the fabric of NYC, influencing a number of nearby attractions and buildings that followed.

Throughout the years, the hotel has been synonymous with celebrity, innovation, and art, with The Rum House and The Edison Ballroom acting as gathering places for theater performers and Hollywood stars. You may have even seen our stylish interiors in major productions like The Godfather, Naked City, and Birdman.

During the past decade, Hotel Edison has revived its place as an art deco masterpiece in the Theater District, with the renovated Edison Ballroom and the new Signature Collection being introduced to New York City and our visitors from around the world.
