A Wonderful Stay in the Heart of the Theater District! We had a really wonderful stay at the Hotel Edison! Without question, the hotel’s greatest asset is its location. Right in the heart of the Theater District, it’s an ideal home base if you’re visiting New York City for Broadway shows or simply want to be in the middle of all the action. You really couldn’t ask for a better location. Our king room was great—comfortable, clean, and perfectly appointed. We wish we had taken more pictures for future travelers but we hit the town right when we checked in! The bed was comfortable, the blackout shades made the room wonderfully dark for sleeping, and the bathroom was clean and well maintained. We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including two complimentary bottles of water and complimentary coffee and tea in the room. The complimentary breakfast options were another wonderful bonus and really added to the overall experience. The hotel also has water and ice dispensers on every floor, which was especially convenient and something we appreciated throughout our stay.and the elevators were quick and we never had to wait for them. The staff was welcoming, and check-in was quick and efficient. From arrival to departure, the experience was easy and enjoyable. One thing future guests may want to keep in mind: our air conditioning wasn’t functioning as expected during our fall visit. We suspect this may have been related to the seasonal transition and the hotel’s building-wide temperature settings. Unfortunately, the windows didn’t open, so we weren’t able to bring in cooler outside air. We still had airflow in the room, but it would have been nice to have more control over the temperature. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider returning. If you’re coming to New York for theater, especially if you have several shows planned, Hotel Edison is definitely worth considering. The location alone makes it special, and the comfortable rooms, breakfast options, and welcoming staff make it an even better experience!

Rooms are small - bit to be expected in NY. Interior definitely needed updating. Furniture was beat up - shower was missing a door.
