Being a frequent traveler, I have developed a pretty high standard for Hotels regarding services, location and prices. I have been to NYC over 30 times and this was my first stay at Hotel Edison. It definitely won't be my last. From the moment we arrived late in the day, our room was ready for us, our quoted price was exactly what was planned. The door man, desk clerk and bell hop were all very helpful and professional. Then there was security that led to the elevator. You needed to show a room key and say what room you were staying in. I felt very secure at this point. The Hotel itself is very old but kept in great condition. It is very quaint and reminds us of the glory days of the City. Then the room was immaculate. The beds were comfortable and you could feel the high quality of the bed linen. The bathroom was a bit small but very clean and well stocked. Room services and local restaurants have delivery of which they are not allowed past the elevator so you need to meet them downstairs which is a good security feature. The location for any traveler to the City is perfect. A half block from Times Square. A city block from a huge subway station and Uber or Lyft both served the hotel with preferred parking. Overall, it was an amazing hotel for a family, incredible prices for all of the services and you can get to anywhere in the city by foot, subway or rideshare. They also have 2 excellent restaurants and a small gift shop that employs the nicest Russian woman. We definitely would recommend this hotel and will be back again.

Great Art Deco hotel! Convenient to Broadway, Times Square, and restaurants. Perfect for a FirstTimer like me!
