Upon entering The Edison ...

Upon entering The Edison Hotel my 1st impression was wow. Met at the door by a very pleasant man who took our cases from us. The Lobby is beautiful clean and very welcoming. The check in was relatively easy and didn't take us long. However the rooms are definitely NOT as seen in the photos. The room I shared with others was clean but the carpet was quite badly stained and frayed in many places. There was no place to place clothing apart from a handful of hangers we had to keep most of our clothes in our cases. Blinds didn't fit the windows and the view was of construction. The food at Bond 45 was excellent and we received several vouchers to either have a free grab and go breakfast or a breakfast for 5$ with added extras being optional. The noise level on the street is awful with cars constantly beeping horns loud music and this went on all night every night. Location is good close to Times square and just a Subway ride to anywhere. The service received from the doormen was 2nd to none all extremely helpful and know how to make you feel welcome. Overall a pleasant stay I would recommend it if you're ok with loud music and noise. I should have also added the excellent security system they have. You need to show your card/key to enter the elevators and use the card to operate the elevators and then obviously your room. A special mention also to Barry ( I'm sure that was his name) for the information the guidance and his warming conversations. He was just lovely and although we were only there for 7 nights it felt like he was our friend. So Barry if you get to read this please know we appreciated all you did for us. We were from Scotland

Connecting rooms with two ...

Connecting rooms with two full bathrooms make it easier to stay together in Times Square. With selections from 1 King and 2 Queen Beds to 4 Queen Beds, there are plenty of space to fit 6-10 guests. This room includes Frette linens, complimentary bottled water and Starbucks single-serve coffeemaker. Featuring one king bed, two queen/full beds, complimentary Starbucks single-serve coffeemaker, microwave, and a mini-refrigerator, this 400-square-foot room is your ideal hideaway. Serving homemade pasta and thin-crust pizza, savory steak and seafood, and seasonally inspired antipasti, Bond 45 is the elegant destination for rustic Italian dining in Times Square.
