I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my visit to Manhattan. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Times Square with easy access to the subway, bus routes, and hop-on hop-off tourist buses. It made getting around the city fast and convenient. There are plenty of food options nearby, and the staff were mostly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, with only one minor issue that didn’t affect my overall experience. The room was spotless, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. I especially liked the "on-the-go" food option included in the stay—it’s a great idea for tourists heading out early to explore the city. Overall, the hotel offers great value for the location and amenities. I’m already planning to stay here again on my next trip to New York! While my overall experience at the hotel was positive and would definitely recommend, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some parts of the hotel, particularly the rooms, were dimly lit and would benefit from better lighting. Additionally, I observed unprofessional behavior from three female staff members working in the "on-the-go" food area. They were openly making negative comments about tourists—stating that if people want things for free, they shouldn’t be traveling. These remarks were made loudly and in the presence of other guests, which I found inappropriate and inconsistent with the standards expected in the hospitality industry. Moreover, the staff member serving coffee came across as unfriendly, did not smile, and lacked basic customer service etiquette. Hospitality roles require warmth and professionalism, especially when interacting with international travelers who may already be navigating a new environment. I hope the hotel considers additional training in customer service to ensure a more welcoming and respectful experience for all guests.

You want all the thrills and fanfare of the Times Square nearby....choose this hotel. Perfect stay, perfect location 10/10. Latoya offered the best customer service ever when we checked in.

My sister and I take an annual visit to NYC and The Hotel Edison is our go to home away from home. Front desk, hospitality, housekeeping, doormen are loyal employees who've worked there for years. That say's it all. We love our room.,,,close to theatre and restaurants, The "Phillips Sisters" say - "If you want to be in a NY State of Mind - stay at the Edison.
