We stayed 5 days ...

We stayed 5 days in 2 connecting Rooms. Service was ok overall, if you are staying here you are paying for Location. Early check-in: they were charging us $50 for early check-in (1h before time) for Room that were ready (it is what it is, not complaining but just for people to take into account). Breakfast: I see people in the comments complaining about the Breakfast but remember you are in NYC, they give you a voucher to exchange for a Grab and Go (fruit or croissant, egg sandwich, coffee or Orange juice or bottle of water) or dine-in ($6.5 plus taxes and services), so overall breakfast was OK, if you are expecting a deluxe open buffet you need to adjust your expectations. About the rooms: connecting rooms are great if traveling with family, beds were comfortable, no issues with noise, they didn’t refill the coffee everyday. Concierge/bellboys: are arrogant and not very helpful, they charge $1 each piece of luggage and accept only cash that you need to take out of a ATM for a fee. I will stay again (because the location) adjust to avoid the bad experiences.

Crowded lobby, understaffed @ ...

Crowded lobby, understaffed @ check-in hour, but at least they know enough to offer comfortable lobby seating for a long wait. The rooms are small but decently appointed, beds seem like new; TVs are older, and the bathrooms reveal how old the building actually is, but overall clean & functional...so given such a central location & room rates this is more than fair value ! Tourists could do much worse
