Just back from a wonderful stay in Hotel Edison. We didn't have the highest hopes for the hotel given the very reasonable price and amazing location but were very pleasantly surprised. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the bathroom was quite tight but the room itself was more than adequate for a 4 night stay. The grab and go breakfast far exceeded our expectations. We assumed it would be just some coffee and a cold option like fruit, but there were also very delicious and filling hot breakfast sandwiches included. The location is truly unbeatable. So easy to get around to each borough of New York from here and plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. Would definitely recommend going in the Hell's Kitchen direction if looking for bars and restaurants (Dutch Fred's is a fantastic option located only a few minutes from the hotel). We also had the pleasure of stumbling across the hotel's 'Edison House' where they provide free wine and prosecco to guests with simply gorgeous entertainment - very enjoyable! The one slight downfall to the whole experience was the reception staff we dealt with on check-out. Very unhelpful in explaining the charges and just had an air that she would rather be anywhere else in the world than there. In stark contrast, the accommodation staff that we met while leaving the hotel each morning were incredibly warm and friendly, as were the security staff checking keycards going into the lifts. Overall I will definitely consider staying in Hotel Edison during my next visit to New York.

Room was spacious and clean could of done with another bed side table and a mirror but a part from that it was good . Location was good.
