It's an old historic hotel in the heart of the theater district and a mere block off of Times Square. Great place to stay.

Très Bon hôtel dans l’ensemble. Surtout pour l’emplacement à 1 minute de Times Square et décoration de l’époque. Les chambres sont d’une taille correct et les lits confortables. La salle de bain fait le job. Un peut bruyant par contre pour les chambres aux étages inférieur mais normal en pleine ville. Le petit déjeuner a le mérite d’exister mais est limiter (un sandwich, un café et un fruits) … ça peut être suffisant pour démarrer la journée. Le personnel est très serviables et à l’écoute.

I recently stayed at Hotel Edison in New York and found it to be a solid budget option, especially for solo travelers like myself. The biggest plus is its fantastic location — right next to Times Square and very close to the 50th Street metro station, making it super convenient to explore the city or get to work on time. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, though not very spacious, but they work perfectly for solo stays. The grab-and-go breakfast is a helpful touch, especially if you have early office hours or want to start your day quickly. One minor annoyance was that the staff ask to see your room key every time you enter, even after staying multiple days. It would be better if they recognized guests who are clearly on an extended stay. Overall, it’s a good hotel with a great location, decent amenities, and good value for money.
