Great location right in Times Square. Rooms are comfortable but don't come with full coffee making facilities (only cups and coffee provided, no milk, sugar or spoons). Rooms cleaned well every day, porters were very helpful and there are different breakfast options that we liked. Windows do not block out noise and the city never sleeps. We did get used to it and it is the price you pay for staying in Times Square but something to consider.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Edison after a disappointing start. We were initially given a small room on the 22nd floor which was small but the main issue was that the integrated aircon system wasn’t working and a noisy window fitted temporary unit had been installed which also smelled really bad. This was quickly rectified when we raised the matter with reception and we were given a much larger recently refurbished room on 17th floor. We loved the Art-Deco features of the hotel, its location just off Times Square and the general ambience. The one slight disappointment was the additional facilities charge which also provided a basic breakfast voucher each day which was very limited. This was an additional $140 for 3 days which we thought was excessive.

We had interconnecting rooms on 10th floor. Rooms clean, bathrooms small but functional. The air conditioning system roared on and off most nights. Location is fabulous easy walking distance to subway and main areas. We were prepared for outside noise from activities of time square outside at night but we were not prepared for was for construction going on, jack hammers, beeping of reserving trucks and construction noise ALL night! Obviously there is no restriction in construction hours! In terms of service from staff it’s really difficult to find any staff at hotel that have a smile or would openly greet you!
