Security and cleanliness are the top qualities of this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the common area restrooms and in room bathrooms are extremely clean, it’s remarkable. The only issue with The Edison is the fact that it is an older building and the layout is two adjacent squares. What that means is that your view might be another guest’s room directly across from you. This happened to us and I immediately requested a room change. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and found me another room facing 47th. The trade off was construction noise coming from work being done to the Chase office building directly across the street. Some of the work being done OVERNIGHT. Trucks and cranes were arriving at 3 a.m. honking their horns as if it was 3 p.m.. Oh well, we asked for it.

This is our second time at Hotel Edison. We had a wonderful stay! It was a perfect location to get around the city, and a convenient spot to be able to walk over to a show for the evening. The provision to hold our luggage before check-in was so nice and went smoothly. Staff was very helpful, we will definitely come back!
